"Bob is a great guy who saved me thousands on home repair and took the time to give me quality advice. I called multiple local companies that gave me zero help or direction. Take the time and call him! You won't regret it!" - Eric R
We use only the latest equipment and technology on our installations.
Helical piles are the fastest, and strongest way to correct foundation settling and instability for existing buildings. With minimal disruption to surrounding landscape there is less work required to restore your place to its original beauty. Helical piles are deep foundation systems that are installed by turning them into the ground something like placing a giant screw . There are no percussion or vibratory tools used in the installation, so the construction is gentle on your home and your neighbor's home too!. They do not use the weight of your house for installation and are therefore not limited in maximum capacity like other products such as push piers.
What Leads to Weak Foundations?
Every home or business needs a strong, immobile foundation for proper support. When the soil under your property is disrupted, your foundation can suffer. Common issues can include transpiration, evaporation, drainage issues, and exposure to the elements. In some case, a foundation may simply have been poorly constructed.
Low Mobilization Costs:
Helical foundations are typically installed with small equipment such as a rubber-tired backhoe. This eliminates the high mobilization costs associated with equipment used to install driven piles, drilled shafts or auger-cast piles. The smaller equipment also makes helical foundations a better choice for difficult to access sites.
Helical Loads: Design compression and tension loads for helical foundations range between 12.5 and 50 tons. The soil is generally the limiting factor as the number and size of helical foundations can be varied to suit the application.
Helical foundations can be installed in any weather because there is no need for concrete or grout. This allows work to proceed without interruption.
Factor of Safety: For compression loads, a factor of safety of 2 has historically been sufficient to account for the inevitable uncertainties in soil, installation, and manufacture. In some instances, as with tiebacks for earth retention, the factor of safety can be less than 1.5.
We use a large variety of cost-effective helical pile products that work for specific soil types or weather patterns. No two sites are alike, so our products can be customized to fit your exact need.
Every building needs a strong, immobile foundation for proper support. When the soil under your property is disrupted, your foundation can suffer. Common issues can include transpiration, evaporation, drainage issues, and exposure to the elements. In some cases, a foundation may simply have been poorly constructed on soils containing organic material which is common on land where trees used to grow. Plumbing leaks under the slab can also wash out foundation soils and leave voids under the home. Sinkholes will also allow a structure to collapse.
We can install your new foundation system in close quarters with minimal disruption to your existing systems.
When your home’s foundation shows signs of structural stress and cracks, this is the most serious event that can reduce its value. Homes with foundation issues see an immediate significant drop in sales value, and often cannot sell. Most homeowners find it difficult, if not impossible, to obtain a construction loan on such a structure, because the drop in value is so steep. The problem only continues with time and what begins as minor structural damage will become major structural damage with all the building materials shifting out of place and becoming unable to support the walls, windows, doors, and roof. Also, most insurance companies will drop, and not renew the homeowner’s policy when there is known foundation problems.
We can take your home’s failing foundation and support, and repair it, to the point that we guarantee it for life. Instead of home-equity credit lines being denied, and construction loans being rejected, the home will be in the elite group of homes with a guaranteed foundation!
When your Geo-Technical Engineer specifies Helical Piles, that recommendation is based on years of research and testing in your specific soils and geology profile. They are trained in your geographic area and have completed profiles in the surrounding areas, gaining information about Geology that is extremely valuable to your need. They have utilized the right equipment and techniques, combined with years of data research in the surrounding areas to ensure the best method for repairing your home.
If you are not already working with a Geo-Technical engineer, we can recommend an engineer familiar with the location of your project. We only recommend 3rd party independent Geo-Technical engineers who will have no vested interest in a particular product. This ensures that recommendations will be the best possible products for the repair of your home. The investment is well worth having the top scientific minds on the project to protect your investment in your home.
The Structural Engineer will then take the Geo-Technical engineer’s recommendation and find the best way to support your home on the helical piles. This too, is an important science. Your home’s structure will be evaluated to find how to best locate the piles, so your home is supported in areas that will make the new foundation the strongest. The piles will be located in areas best able to transfer the entire weight of the home to the new deep foundation piles.
The piles we install are a large variety of cost-effective helical pile products that work for specific soil types or weather patterns. No two sites are alike, so we install products that are customized to fit your exact need.
