This one was not on piles...
And this one was not on piles...
The piles for this pool were not installed by BK Earnest but we are confident that ours will hold up just as well. (And ours have higher capacity specification.)
Isn’t that pretty
Frist, the hole for the pool is dug and then a layer of pea gravel is added, by others.
A slope is left at the shallow end of the pool for us to access the interior with our track loader or excavator.
The muck layer of this pool was visible and very soft at the deep end.
Most of the piles were installed at this point. It is important for the pool contractor to know the correct elevation of the pool shell so that the piles be cut and caped at the proper height. These we had to cut twice.
After the pile are cut, capped and bolted on the rebar is placed.
How soft is that muck layer?
After the gunite but not quite ready for swimming.
